IN / OUT HOLE PROJECT

The structure of this installation has a cylinder shape with a small door.

This installation includes two videos which are played inside the structure. One video is played on the floor Inside a small hole on a very small screen(4.5 inches). The video will consist of a very little person trapped in a golf hole .

The second video is projected on the ceiling of this cylinder structure (9 feet projection). The video shows a huge person looking down from time to time, giving the appearance a giant is looking into a hole.

IN or OUT Hole

“The more you approach infinity, the deeper you penetrate terror” Gustave Flaubert. Infinity, in Western culture, means endless or immeasurable. Infinity commonly inspires feelings of awe, futility and fear.

This three-dimensional Installation artwork is designed to transform our perception of space. I want the person who enters the installation to have the feeling of confusion of its real place; is his/her place inside or outside the hole.

The viewer will be involved in a repetitive action of looking at different holes after holes which will be a endless story.

Ultimately, The goal of this interactive installation is to make the viewer be part of the art piece and experience the work are his own thoughts and preconceptions and the basic rules of space and time.
